我先生是美国人。我们是在2011年5月在中国结婚的，后来他回国递交申请，期间来过几次中国看我。今年9月29日，我收到广州大使馆的信，通知我预约面试时间和体检，然后说如果面签过了，可以取得护照。
我不明白什么是取得护照？不是应该是绿卡吗？去广州会给我发美国护照吗？发美国护照是我当场就是美国人的意思了？
我这次去广州签证过了，可以在中国待多久？会规定我多久之内必须去美国吗？
